Design, implement, maintain and optimize the backend of client's websites. Includes SQL database to store the client's content and the administration interfaces for them to publish their content. Implement, Maintain and Optimize front end views to display their content. Includes server side views and templates as well as HTML, CSS and Javascript. -
August 2007 - August 2008 Dynamic Language Ninja	Etsy Inc.	New York, NY
Implemented, tested and optimized a new middle layer to Etsy's high traffic website. The new middle layer included access to stored procedures in the databases, caching data in Memcached, and delivering data to the frontend PHP scripts. Conceived, and organized a large scale effort to ensure every function in the new middle layer had near complete unit and integration tests which compared results with the old middle layer to ensure 100% compatibility of the new middle layer. -
